Mt Hutt Ski Area
Access to New Zealand's premier ski field is actually on Pudding Station and only a 5-minute drive away. Mt Hutt has been voted New Zealand’s best ski resort eight years running at the World Ski Awards. A true alpine experience, with wide-open terrain, leg-burning runs, monster snowfalls, and spectacular views. You’ve not skied in New Zealand until you’ve skied Hutt!

Discovery Jet
As you journey through the gorge, the wind ripping through your hair and water spraying with every carefully-calculated twist and turn, soak in the dramatic scenery. Scrub covered hills give way to towering coal and limestone cliffs, in captivating hues of grey and brown, which have been carved out over millions of years.
Pudding Hill Stream Route
This route winds up steeply through Pudding Hill Stream through Mount Hutt Forest.
This 8.3km (each way) route follows the stream bed. Pudding Hill Stream is negotiable in all but flood conditions. However, about 1 km upstream of the turn onto Mount Hutt Range the stream bed narrows into a steep-sided gorge, which makes further progress difficult.
Mt Hutt bike park
Mt. Hutt Bike Park boasts a 40km+ trail network, from a family-friendly XC loop to epic single track, double-black diamond technical descents, and some nice climbs to link it all together. All tracks are well-maintained with berms, bridge features, and jumps. Free to the public riding.
Methven Golf Club
Known as one of the finest country courses in New Zealand, the Methven 18-hole golf course offers spectacular views of Mt Hutt Ski Area and the Southern Alps. Our course is open year round to all visitors and members. We have organised club competition days on Saturday, Wednesday and Friday morning for 9 holers – casual golfers are always welcome to join us. We offer a range of green fee options, including Traveller’s Special, reciprocal rights and group discounts. We have golf clubs, trundlers and carts available for hire and a large practice area is available for the use by both guests and members for a small hire fee. Bookings preferred.
